Hokkaido Highlights Tour

July in Hokkaido is mild and comfortable, with temperatures around 18°C–25°C, perfect for exploring eastern Hokkaido’s natural beauty. This journey blends flower fields, coastlines, and untouched wilderness: from Furano’s lavender hills, to Abashiri’s blue sea views, the wild Shiretoko Peninsula, the serene Akan–Mashu lakes, and the dramatic cliffs of Cape Kamui. 

ITINERARY

DAY 1

KL - SAPPORO

  • ​Today 12:00 PM meet up at KLIA T1 and depart together on ANA flight to Hokkaido.

✈️ 8-hour transit wait at Tokyo Airport.

DAY 2

SAPPORO

  • Arrival at New Chitose Airport. Proceed to Sapporo city for sightseeing

  • Hokkaido Shrine : One of the most important and largest Shinto shrines in Hokkaido, established in 1869 and dedicated to the guardian deities of Hokkaido’s development

  • Hill of the Buddha : A unique Buddhist landmark that blends nature with modern architectural design (Optional Entry around RM25/pax)

  • Moai Statues : A row of replica Moai statues inspired by the iconic stone figures of Easter Island.

  • Afternoon Check-in guesthouse and rest​

DAY 3

SAPPORO - FURANO (3hr)

  • ​Breakfast at own arrangement today.

  • Pick up other members who arriving today, then we depart to Furano (3hr)

  • Shirogane Blue Pond : Famous for its dreamy blue waters and the picturesque reflection of dead trees

  • Shirahige Falls : Cascading like a flowing white beard, it is one of Biei’s most enchanting natural attractions

  • Ningle Terrace : An enchanting forest retreat featuring creative installations and artistic nooks

DAY 4

FURANO - HIGASHIMOKOTO (4hr)

  • Farm Tomita : One of Furano’s most famous flower farms, famed for its stunning lavender fields

  • Patchwork Road : A famous rural sightseeing route in the Biei area, where farmland is arranged like a colorful patchwork quilt

  • Transfer to Higashimokoto City (4hr)

DAY 5

HIGASHIMOKOTO - ABASHIRI - SHIRETOKO (2hr)

  • Cape Notoro : Overlooking the Sea of Okhotsk, this scenic spot is renowned for its sweeping ocean views and lighthouse

  • Koshimizu genseikaen primeval flower garden

  • Cape Puyuni Observation Deck

  • Shiretoko Goko National Park : Renowned for its pristine lakes and spectacular natural landscapes in eastern Hokkaido

🏠 STAY : SHIRETOKO

DAY 6

SHIRETOKO - LAKE AKAN (3hr)

  • Lake Mashū : crystal-clear blue waters and stunning caldera scenery

  • Mt. Io : An active volcano offering dramatic landscapes and geothermal wonders

  • Lake Kussharo : The largest caldera lake in eastern Hokkaido, known for its serene waters, hot springs along the shore

  • In the evening, you can enjoy the hotel’s public onsen

DAY 7

LAKE AKAN - OBIHIRO (3.5hr)

  • Lake Akan : A beautiful crater lake offering peaceful walks, boat tours, and unique natural sights

  • Ainu Village

  • Kushiro Washo Market : A must-visit spot for fresh Hokkaido seafood and lively market culture

  • Transfer to Obihiro

DAY 8

OBIHIRO - SAPPORO (3hr)

 

  • Sapporo Beer Museum : Discover the history of Sapporo Beer

  • Nijo Market : A lively seafood market in central Sapporo, Hokkaido, famous for fresh seafood, local produce, and sushi

  • Tanukikoji Shopping Street : Sapporo’s iconic covered arcade, ideal for shopping, dining, and exploring local culture.

DAY 9

SAPPORO - SHAKOTAN - SAPPORO (4hr)

 

  • Cape Kamui : Known for its striking cliffs, clear blue waters, and spectacular sea views

  • Shimamui Beach : known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, white pebbles, and scenic coastal views

  • Otaru Canal : Scenic historic canal with old warehouses and romantic gas lamps

  • Optional:Cherry Fruit Picking (RM70+/pax)

DAY 10

SAPPORO - HAKODATE (4hr)

  • Today, continue our extend journey to southern area Hakodate (4hr)

  • Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses : A historic complex converted from Meiji-era warehouses, now home to retro-style shops, cafés, and restaurants

  • Hachimanzaka Slope : A straight stone-paved street lined with historical buildings, leading toward the harbour

  • Mount Hakodate Night View : One of Japan’s top three night views (Return Cable car approx. RM50/pax)

DAY 11

HAKODATE - LAKE TOYA - MURORAN (3hr)

  • Breakfast at own arrangement today

  • Hakodate Morning Market

  • Depart to Lake Toya (2hr)

  • Lake Toya : The third largest volcanic caldera lake in Japan, formed by volcanic activity beneath the lake

  • Lake Hill Farm : A popular hillside farm café known for fresh dairy products, especially soft-serve ice cream and cheese

  • Bear Ranch : Home to over 100 Hokkaido brown bears (Optional entry RM25+/pax)

  • Continue to Muroran (1hr)

🏠 STAY : MURORAN

DAY 12

MURORAN - NOBORIBETSU - SAPPORO (2hr)

  • Noboribetsu Jigokudani : A dramatic volcanic valley where hot steam rises from the reddish-brown hillsides

  • ​Continue to Sapporo (2hr)

  • Shiroi Koibito Park : A charming chocolate theme park that feels like stepping into a fairytale world (Optional entry RM20+/pax)

  • ​In the evening, free time for shopping at malls or underground walking street if interested

DAY 13

SAPPORO - AIRPORT

  • Transfer to airport for flight back home, see you again! :)​
